LifeBrewsHappiness Song of the Day - We Ain’t Them, Childish Gambino
I’m a big fan of the show Community, which Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino, stars on. I’m also a big fan of his music. Unlike most rappers, he can rap for days, using his wit and charm to speak about his experiences in the industry. This song doesn’t even have a chorus. Many have preconceived notions of what a rapper should be. He transcends them. Check out his new track “We Ain’t Them" now.
LifeBrewsHappiness Beer For Your Weekend- Shift Pale Lager, New Belgium (5%, 29 IBU)
For the past few weeks, I have heard nothing but great things about this beer. Last night, I finally got a chance to try it. It lives up to the hype. Using Target, Nelson Savin, Liberty, and Cascade hops paired with Pale, Munich, and C-80 malts, New Belgium has found a middle ground between the traditional pale ale and lager. New Belgium’s employees (who are also part owners) work in shifts to brew their beers. At the end of everyday they are rewarded with an end-of-shift beer. In celebration of this practice, they decided to create this lightly-hopped, refreshing brew. They explain, “Shift salutes the shift in occasion, package and beer.”
